I rarely stay in the heart of Ubud, it is a little crazy. So many tourists and too many shops for my liking. I stay in an area called Penestanen, about 15 minutes’ walk from downtown Ubud.  It is much quieter because once inside the area, there are no cars. Only motorbikes allowed.  I have stayed in quite a few places from Airbnb to smaller privately-owned villas.

HUBUD – Co-working space in Ubud

Ubud has notoriously inconsistent wi-fi. Many digital nomads use co-working spaced. I recommend Hubud in Ubud. Hubud is a coworking space and community that’s leading the global movement of location independence in life + business. They say they attract a dynamic bunch of business rebels, courageous creatives, techies + truth-seekers—and we’re here to live a fulfilling life on our own terms.

Certainly, they have an active community, information and discussion nights and fast internet by Bali’s standards.

Yoga – Intuitive Flow

If you love Yoga, then Ubud is the place for you.  The best yoga in Ubud by far must be Intuitive Flow – A beautiful Yoga Studio in Ubud, Bali. Practice Yoga with breathtaking view in a quiet area in Penestanen.

There is something about this studio that soothes the soul. It is both welcoming and peaceful, a great place meet like-minded people. What brand of yoga pants you wear is not important here. It is a place of harmony and acceptance whether you are a newbie to yoga or very experienced. And please, after class wander up the path to Yellow Flower. A very popular vegetarian restaurant. I have met the most wonderful people at this studio and shared many a lunch at this restaurant..
